Executive leadership training that refuses to be comfortable

Most leadership programs hand you frameworks. We hand you friction. Our cohort-based intensives force senior leaders to confront blind spots, dismantle habitual thinking, and rebuild their strategic instincts from the ground up. If you want validation, look elsewhere.

How we work

Four phases that dismantle and rebuild

Our methodology is not linear self-improvement. It is a deliberate cycle of destabilization and reconstruction — designed so leaders emerge with sharper judgment, not just new vocabulary.

Diagnostic disruption

Before the first session, we conduct 360-degree behavioural interviews with your direct reports, peers, and board members. The resulting profile is unvarnished. We present it on day one — no softening, no sandwich feedback. Leaders see the gap between their self-perception and reality, often for the first time in their careers. This initial shock creates the cognitive opening necessary for genuine change.

Adversarial simulation

Over six weeks, cohort members face escalating real-world scenarios: hostile acquisitions, public crises, board revolts, talent exoduses. Each scenario is drawn from anonymized case files of actual Canadian and international companies. Participants must make decisions under time pressure while their cohort peers serve as both allies and adversaries. Every decision is recorded, analysed, and debriefed.

Reflective synthesis

After the simulations, we slow down. Participants work with a dedicated facilitator to identify the recurring patterns in their decision-making — the cognitive shortcuts, the emotional triggers, the strategic blind spots. This phase is where intellectual understanding becomes embodied awareness. Leaders learn to recognize their default mode in real time, not just in retrospect.

Applied re-entry

The final phase happens back inside your organization. Over ninety days, each participant implements a strategic initiative designed during the program. Our facilitators provide bi-weekly check-ins, peer cohort calls continue, and we measure tangible organizational impact — not participant satisfaction scores. The goal is permanent behavioural integration, not a temporary high.

What we offer

Cohort programs designed for different inflection points

Each program targets a specific leadership transition. Choose the one that matches where you are — not where you wish you were.

Executive leader mapping strategy on a glass whiteboard during the Ascent program

For newly appointed C-suite leaders

The first 180 days in a C-suite role determine whether a leader will shape the organization or be shaped by it. The Ascent is a twelve-week intensive for executives within their first year at the top. We focus on authority calibration, stakeholder mapping under ambiguity, and the psychological shift from functional expertise to enterprise-wide judgment.

  • Twelve-week cohort of eight to ten participants
  • Three in-person intensives in Sherbrooke plus virtual sessions
  • Individual executive coaching throughout
  • Board-readiness simulation and debrief

For leaders navigating organizational transformation

Mergers, restructures, digital pivots, market disruptions — these moments demand a different kind of leadership. Strategic Pivot is an eight-week program for executives leading their organizations through fundamental change. We work on narrative control, coalition building under resistance, and maintaining strategic clarity when every signal is contradictory.

  • Eight-week accelerated cohort format
  • Real-time case application to your current transformation
  • Crisis communication lab with media professionals
  • Post-program peer advisory circle for twelve months
Senior executive mentoring the next generation during the Legacy Architecture program

For leaders planning succession and institutional memory

Legacy Architecture is for leaders in the final third of their executive tenure. This is not a retirement planning workshop. It is a rigorous examination of how to build organizational capability that outlasts your presence. We cover succession design, knowledge transfer architecture, and the discipline of letting go without disengaging.

  • Six-month program with quarterly in-person retreats
  • Paired with an emerging leader from your organization
  • Institutional memory mapping and documentation
  • Board transition planning and governance advisory

Inside the training

The leadership lab: where theory meets pressure

These are not case studies you read about. They are situations you live through in real time with real consequences within the cohort.

The hostile board scenario

You walk into a simulated board meeting where three directors have already decided to replace you. You have forty-five minutes to shift the room. Your cohort peers play the directors — and they have been briefed to be ruthless. This exercise reveals how leaders respond to existential threat and whether they default to appeasement, aggression, or strategic persuasion.

The seventy-two-hour crisis

A product failure, a public relations disaster, and a regulator inquiry — all landing simultaneously. This compressed simulation runs over a weekend and tests how leaders prioritize, delegate, and communicate when every decision has cascading consequences. Sleep deprivation is part of the design. We measure decision quality degradation in real time.

The talent exodus

Your top three performers have just resigned on the same day. The market knows. Your competitors are circling. This scenario forces leaders to confront retention failures honestly, rebuild team morale under scrutiny, and communicate transparently with stakeholders who smell blood. It exposes whether leaders blame systems or take ownership.

Common questions

What prospective participants ask us

Who is this training actually for?
Our programs are designed for senior executives — typically C-suite, VP-level, or senior directors — who have at least ten years of leadership experience and are facing a specific inflection point in their career or organization. We do not accept participants who are looking for general professional development. If you cannot articulate the specific leadership challenge you are trying to solve, we will ask you to wait until you can.
How large are the cohorts?
We cap every cohort at ten participants. This is non-negotiable. The intimacy of a small group is what makes the adversarial simulations and peer feedback genuinely challenging. Larger groups allow people to hide. We do not allow hiding.
What is the investment for a program?
Program fees range from $18,000 to $42,000 CAD depending on the program and duration. This includes all facilitation, materials, individual coaching sessions, and in-person retreat costs including accommodation in Sherbrooke. We do not offer early-bird discounts or group rates. The investment reflects the calibre of the experience and the outcomes it produces.
Can our organization send multiple leaders?
Yes, but we place them in different cohorts. Leaders from the same organization in the same cohort create political dynamics that undermine the process. Separation ensures each participant engages authentically without worrying about internal optics.
What happens if a participant is not a good fit?
We conduct a screening conversation before accepting anyone. Occasionally, we decline applicants. If a mismatch becomes apparent during the program, we address it directly and, in rare cases, have asked participants to step out. Protecting the cohort experience is more important than any individual enrolment.
